LEMONGRASS (Cymbopogon Citratus)
Benefits: Refreshing
Uses: Fresh smelling room fragrance, helpful in warding off flies and insects.
Lemongrass is a very powerful antiseptic and bactericide.
Lemongrass has been found to have soothing effects on headaches, but unlike Lavender should be diluted in carrier oil before gently massaging the temples and forehead, as an undiluted oil would be damaging to the skin.
As bath oil, Lemongrass is refreshing, antiseptic and deodorising, but again needs to be used with care.
Aroma: Fresh, lemony. Blends well with Geranium and Lavender.
Caution: Avoid taking lemongrass during pregnancy or when breast feeding
